About Us

Mabadiliko Care International is a charity founded by Jacob Boaz Muoga in 2004. It currently runs a primary school called Destiny Garden in Mtongwe and an orphanage, Destiny Garden Village Orphanage - one of the poorest suburbs of Mombasa on Kenya’s coast.

More than half of the 259 students are orphans and at least a quarter of them are HIV positive. At the very most, families of the children will earn around $2US per day but most struggle to find regular work in an area where jobs are scarce. It is not uncommon for families to go without food for the day

Current Situation

The school provides the children, who are aged between 3 and 13, with a good standard of education in small class sizes of no more than 35 pupils. The 6 teachers are all fully qualified and are dedicated to the welfare of the youngsters.

More than half the children at Destiny Garden Primary school are orphans and one quarter are HIV positive. Many of the families struggle to provide food for their children each day and for many, the lunch they receive in school is their only good meal of the day.

Destiny Garden Primary School also provides a cooked lunch each day and for many of the children it is their only proper meal of the day. The charity would never stop a child from attending the school but the situation does increase the burden on resources.

We are very grateful for the kind contributions from those who would like to help children in the school. At the moment 259 of the children need sponsors. With your kind contributions we are currently building a new high quality toilet facility in the school - something that has been lacking until now.
